Permitless carry group files report
One financial disclosure statement stands out among those filed in the Coeur d’Alene City Council races to meet the 7-day, pre-election deadline — the one from Idaho Second Amendment Alliance Victory Fund. Greg Pruett of the 2nd Amendment group of southern Idaho signed the report. Pruett is the activist who staged a rally at Coeur d’Alene City Park recently. His group advocates permitless carry of concealed firearms — and attacked Councilman Ron Edinger as being anti-gun because Edinger voted for a ban against firearms at Coeur d’Alene parades and events to continue. The ban was overturned eventually. Pruett’s group produced a flyer attacking Edinger as anti-gun and supporting challenger Toby Schindelbeck, who supported the rally by Pruett’s group. The financial disclosure report says that the 2nd Amendment Alliance spent $350 in this election for work by Vista Print of Waltham, MA.
