2 hours for a restaurant breakfast?

On my recent trip to Portland, I set a personal record re: waiting for a restaurant meal — 2 hours. In Portland, the funky restaurants are too small and the crowds of people waiting for tables too long to expect anything other than a long wait. But 2 hours? I was ready to move on Saturday when we learned that the wait would be more than an hour. However, there was a coffee shop next door that shared a mutual outdoor dining space that made the wait possible. Even enjoyable. Mrs. O & I enjoyed chatting with Okie Doke and Amy Dearest over coffee while we waited for an adequate breakfast that featured too much chipotle sause on my egg/sausage combo. Surprisingly, I didn’t mind the wait, although I’m generally impatient. First, I like to people watch, which in weird Portland is enjoyable. Secondly, I will be able to compare all restaurant waits in the future with the Porland one. How about you?

Question: What is the longest that you’ve waited to be seated for a restaurant meal?
