2nd Candidate files for Adams’ seat

A second challenger has filed for the Coeur d’Alene City Council Seat No. 5, now held by controversial Councilman Steve Adams. Bruce MacNeil, 524 N17th St/Coeur d’Alene, joins former county clerk Dan English in the race for Adams’ council spot. Unlike the three candidates who have filed for three seats to date, MacNeil paid a $40 filing fee to the City Clerk’s office. The other candidates — incumbents Ron Edinger (Seat 1) and Dan Gookin (Seat 2), as well as English, filed papers with signatures of 5 voters in lieu of the $40 fee. The filing deadline for city council office is 5 p.m. Friday.
