What a difference 6 years make

On Facebook, Dan English remarks re: what a difference six years has made for him:

“Well, who says life doesn’t have a sense of humor or at least irony. At this time 6 years ago I was County Clerk getting ready for some city elections including a council race between Jim Brannon and Mike Kennedy. Jim was the Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity. As some may recall, that was a close election that resulted in court action clear up to the Idaho Supreme Court. On election night, MIke Kennedy was ahead by 5 votes and after all was said and done, won by three votes. So, fast-forward 6 years. I am the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity. Jim Brannon is the County Clerk and will be counting my votes in just little over 8 weeks from now. At this point I’m in a three way race for seat 5 including the incumbent, Steve Adams. Lord, may the best person win, but please, please help him win big!”
