Forgo hunting season

This year’s immense wildfire devastation has exposed wildlife to terrible agony, terror and loss. While I do not share the pleasure that many evidently enjoy in killing wild animals, some hunting for sport is legal, and I accept and respect our difference.

Many of my own traits, tastes and views are not shared with everyone. But in this particular year, it seems worth considering the proposition that wildlife be afforded unique protection from unnecessary additional stress and distress. Forgo this year’s hunting for pleasure. Just leave our wildlife alone.
