Huckleberries will start late Today

Greg Lee, Betsy Russell and I will be in to our Spokane bureau this morning (and again Friday morning) for the first of two, four-hour sessions to learn our new digital-first system, which will go online next month. For the first time in newspaper history, the online side will take precedence for news over the print side. Reporters will report for digital and then follow-up with a print version for the next day’s paper. As you can suspect, an old dinosaur like me will need to learn some new tricks. I’ll be back at the office around 1:30 today (and Friday) to begin an abbreviated blog report.
