Hump Day Wild Card — 9.16.15

I must admit I’m disappointed in the Coeur d’Alene City Council races this year — so much so that I couldn’t remember the challenger Tuesday for incumbent Ron Edinger’s seat. (Answer: Toby Schindelbeck.) Councilman Dan Gookin appears headed for re-election as his biggest challenger seems to be “None of the Above.” (I give challenger Barbara Hedden props for joining the race at the last minute and ensuring that Gookin didn’t run unopposed.) The most interesting race may be incumbent Steve Adams against former county clerk Dan English. English is light years more qualified than Adams to serve on the City Council. But that’s no guarantee of victory in North Idaho. English’s election to the council would be an upgrade. Any thoughts on the Coeur d’Alene City Council races. Do you find them interesting? Or not?
