Sour note for free speech
The powers that be at Whitworth University might do well to rethink their decision to suspend the students, following WSU’s rethinking their policy on the term “illegal immigrant.”
The students were merely re-creating a black entertainment group, well-known from their era, the Jackson 5.
Sincere imitation is the highest form of flattery. The only fault the students might be accused of is their mistaken belief that free speech is functioning well.
