Cartoon outrageous
In the Sept. 11 issue, your cartoon depicting the county clerk from Kentucky and a member of ISIS holding a sign, “My religion prohibits gay marriage,” was in extremely poor taste.
To show a woman who is standing up for her godly belief that same-sex marriage is a sin, which the Bible clearly substantiates (Romans 1:22-27), and to put her alongside an ISIS member holding a banner is outrageous.
As we now know, the members of ISIS stand for the belief that killing innocent people and regarding them as expendable if necessary to further their cause, at the point of ruthless slaughter, is quite acceptable. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the implication to this cartoon.
To put Kim Davis, who has not hate but the same kind of righteous indignation St. Paul had when he clearly pointed out that homosexuals are sinning against God, which they are, alongside an ISIS blood-thirsty member, no matter how big or small the implication, is reprehensible.
To avoid this kind of illogical thinking, we must let God guide our minds and our hearts. Philippians 4:13.
