Roskelley climbing talk honors new Whitworth Library mountaineering collection

MOUNTAINEERING – In honor of a new Whitworth Library collection, Spokane Mountaineer John Roskelley will present a free program, “From Annapurna to Seven Summits: Literature’s Influence on Me and on the Sport of Mountaineering,” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, in Weyerhaeuser Hall’s Robinson Teaching Theatre at Whitworth University , 300 W. Hawthorne Rd.

Whitworth is celebrating the inauguration of the William C. Fix Mountaineering Collection . A reception will follow.

Roskelley, is a world-class climber and former Spokane County Commissioner.
