Grade competition a plus
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your editorial of Sept. 19 regarding the return of “nuanced” grades in Spokane schools. It’s about time we had some common sense in the education system. Competition for grades helps students achieve success in life and teaches them how to handle both success and disappointment.
Perhaps now we can get away from having multiple valedictorians and recognize a truly deserving single top student.
