Huckleberries hears …

… from Jeanna Hofmeister (aka “Baggy-Eyed in Bayview”) that Foghorn Leghorn has been muzzled — or possibly worse. Jeanna? She’s the long-suffering Bayview resident who has an urban farmer neighbor who added a rooster to his collection of chickens and ducks — a rooster, whom I refer to as Foghorn Leghorn, that crows all the live long day. Or he did until this weekend when the force of the county commissioners office (David Stewart), the county planning office and Huckleberries Online were brought to bare on the noisy situation. As of Sunday morning, when the Huckleberries print column hit the streets, there has been no crowing from the neighbor’s place. Jeanna emails: “Huge news!  Today the rooster disappeared!!  Like magic.  Thank you so much for your amazing help.”
