Grafos, Hafner work for citizens
The firing of Spokane Valley City Manager Mike Jackson was the shot heard across Spokane Valley, like the shot that started the American Revolution; but these are not patriots.
Garbed as friends, Councilmen Pace, Higgins, Wood and Woodard unmask their agenda as “change agents” seeking more power, willingly destroying what was built before them and anyone standing in their way for the “good of the people.”
C.S. Lewis refers to the tyranny of good men imposing “the good” as the greatest tyrants. “… Tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.”
Councilmen Dean Grafos and Chuck Hafner refuse to give binding legitimacy to any settlement, without facts, to protect the city from liability in this unethical if not illegal process.
The masquerade continues as Pace blames these honest men for the strife. There’s not a rug big enough to cover this pile of dirt.
Council voting is staged without facts provided to Grafos and Hafner. Their votes aren’t needed nor are “we the people.” Their plan - a manifesto Marx would approve.
I commend Grafos and Hafner for insisting on answers, despite threats and intimidation. Their record - working only for the citizens.
