‘Sheriff’ Mack endorses John Green
In his campaign Facebook page,John Green touts an endorsement for his Republican candidacy for Kootenai County sheriff by controversial “Sheriff” Richard Mack . Mack, who served as sheriff in Graham County, Ariz., from 1988 to 1996, is founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association. Also, he is a member of the Oath Keepers organization Green writes on his campaign site: “I am happy to announce that I have, again, been endorsed By Sheriff Richard Mack, in my campaign for Kootenai County Sheriff! I’m honored by Sheriff Mack’s endorsement, confidence and most importantly, his friendship!” Green is running for a second time against incumbent Ben Wolfinger in the Republican primary for Kootenai County sheriff.
Question: Why would the endorsement of a former sheriff from Arizona be important to someone running for sheriff in Kootenai County, Idaho?
