Superdelegates not representative
Rules for superdelegates in presidential elections are confusing. The number of superdelegates given to a state is based on the number of people who voted in the previous presidential election. Hintit.com tells how superdelegates have pledged their votes.
I wish I was but I am not surprised that not one has pledged to Bernie Sanders even after his win over Hillary, 72.7 percent to 27.1 percent. Nine representatives, including Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray, Denny Heck, Jay Inslee and Jim McDermott plus, have pledged to Hillary. Eight are undecided.
I called Patty Murray’s phone number in the District of Columbia and in Washington state and was told they are not allowed to speak to about this issue. I could email, which I did, and encourage others to do the same. Email addresses are easy to find for each at the hintit.com site.
Once again Bernie Sanders’ point they do not represent us is verified. They can change their vote and should, but Inslee has declared he won’t. Otherwise, it’s time to clean House, Senate and governor at the next state election.
If you don’t speak for us, then we’ll find someone who will. It’s not Cathy McMorris Rodgers.
