Privilege to work for city

It has been a privilege to work for the city of Spokane Valley for the past 13 years. Serving as city manager has been one of the highlights of my career. I value the time spent working alongside elected officials, citizens, department heads and fellow employees.

Today we have one of the most economical, efficient and responsive city governments in the state of Washington, and a community we can all be proud to call home. Since the council entrusted me with the leadership of this great organization in 2010, I have worked with and for some of the finest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Now it is time for myself and my family to seek new challenges.

I am, at heart, a public servant and hope I have served the citizens well and contributed, in some way, to the success of the city of Spokane Valley. I wish Spokane Valley the best.

Mike Jackson, former city manager
