No rationale for raise

I haven’t seen a reasonable rationale for the 44 percent Spokane City Council pay raise. Seems to me they don’t have enough to do to warrant such a raise, if they can waste time and effort on banning elephant hooks and banning scantily clad coffee baristas.

Now, if they were to implement permanent solutions to other various city woes, I might agree with a raise. But a 44 percent raise? For a part-time job? Don’t think so.
