Letter: Bicyclists, share the space
Judith Yancey, of Coeur d’Alene, wrote this letter to the editor of the Coeur d’Alene Press:
I walk every morning and I also ride a bicycle. I respect other people’s space when I do. Friday morning, six or seven recumbent-riding gentlemen rode by me without warning that I could hear. It was startling and quite clearly you could see that they enjoy being in the middle of the sidewalk. I would ask that people on wheels please take caution for walkers, strollers, elderly folks who may not hear well, dog walkers, children playing, bathroom goers… We are supposed to be sharing this nice area.
Question: Have you seen examples of bicyclists not obeying the law in your walks or drives around town?
