Zika continues spread in Florida
State health officials are investigating Palm Beach County’s first case of non-travel related Zika, Gov. Rick Scott’s office announced Monday. In a news release, Scott’s office said the person recently had traveled in Miami-Dade County, which so far had been the only county in Florida to report locally transmitted cases of the virus. The Florida Department of Health “still believes active transmissions are only taking place within the identified area that is less than one-square mile in Miami-Dade County,” Scott’s office said./ Kristina Webb , PalmBeachPost.com.
