6 apply for Nilson Zone 5 spot
When North Idaho College Trustee Ron Nilson officially resigns Aug. 31, the NIC board will interview 6 applicants to replace him. The six are:
- Dave Botting, Athol
- Geri Wile, Post Falls
- Matthew Neff, Rathdrum
- Michael Maxwell, Coeur d’Alene
- Edward Livingston, Spirit Lake
- Brad Murray, Rathdrum
In May, Nilson resigned in a huff, complaining in an op-ed piece that the college was in the throes of a takeover, and he didn’t want to be part of it. As of Monday, Nilson hadn’t officially turned in his resignation. Fellow Trustee Christie Wood told Huckleberries that Nilson wanted to be at the August board meeting to officially welcome new president Richard MacLennan.
