Wild Card/Thursday — 8.18.16

I did something last evening that I haven’t done for a long time. I took my Kindle into the garden and read — from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and from Justin Cronin’s third book in his vampire trilogy. Yeah, I know those two books don’t go together well. But that’s not the point. I spent a wonderful 90 minutes reading. Usually, I’m pulling weeds or looking for something to do in the yard. It was nice to sit among the flowers and growing veggies and read as the sun set. Glorious, in fact. I need to do it a few more times before earlier sunsets cut me off. Here’s your Wild Card …
