AM: Crews battle Spokane fire
In this photo by Colin Mulvany/SR, a fast-moving wildfire approaches homes on the north side of Beacon Hill, Sunday, in Spokane. Wildfires burning in the Spokane area have blackened about 15,000 acres and two dozen homes. The Hart wildfire west of Spokane has grown to 10,000 acres overnight. Fire officials ordered the evacuation of Wellpinit late Sunday, and evacuation orders remain in place for residents in the Hart Road, Porcupine Bay, Sand Flats and Cayuse Cove areas.
