Slice: City motto for Ponderay, anyone?

In his Slice blog, Paul Turner wonders:

Ponderay, Idaho, as you no doubt know, doesn’t spell its name like Lake Pend Oreille right there in Idaho or Pend Oreille County over in Washington.

But apparently the good folks in that little Bonner County community are not afraid of a bit of confusion.

If you look the city up on the internet, you find its official web site: “City of Ponderay/The Little City With A Big Future.”

But if you open that site, you then see a piece of graphic art and the motto “The Little City With The Big Future.”

So which is it? “A” or “The”?
