KCSO plans more patrols for Labor Day
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office plans for extra patrols through the Labor Day holiday weekend. In an effort to keep our roadways
safe, the Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Idaho Transportation Department’s – Office of Highway Safety is participating in a traffic enforcement mobilization from August 26th through September 5th. Deputies will be working to support the statewide highway safety goal of reducing the number of vehicle related deaths and serious injuries on Idaho roadways through increased law enforcement presence during the days leading up to and through the holiday weekend. The sheriff’s office encourages individuals to pre-plan your holiday events if you intend to consume alcoholic drinks – by designating a sober driver, calling a taxi or calling for a ride from a sober friend. The Sheriff’s Office wishes everyone a safe, responsible and enjoyable Labor Day weekend/
KCSO Lt. Stu Miller.
