Woman to face attempted murder count
At about 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Kootenai County deputies responded to a weapons offense call in the 400 block of S. Elm Road near Post
Falls. The caller reported a woman tried to shoot her 29YO daughter. Witnesses alleged the suspect, Nicole M. King, 36, of Coeur d’Alene, threatened the victim via text messages and then drove to her house, and fired one shot at her with a handgun as the victim was driving away in her car. The victim’s car was not hit and no one was injured. King also allegedly pointed her handgun at the victim’s 37YO boyfriend. King fled the area in her car. With the help of Coeur d’Alene officers, deputies found King sitting in her parked car in the alley behind a business near Government Way and Harrison Avenue. King was taken into custody without incident and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Destruction of Evidence, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Introduction of Contraband into Jail, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. King has an extensive criminal background across multiple states/
