Pedestrian killed crossing Best Ave

A 74YO Post Falls woman was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle while crossing Best Avenue near 5th Street Tuesday evening. Julia A. Free succumbed to her injuries early this afternoon. She was crossing Best Avenue at an undesignated spot at about 6:17 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a 2013 KIA Soul driven by Lester Olson, 62, of Coeur d’Alene, who was driving westbound.
