Biased against Castro
The U.S. establishment’s biased reaction to Fidel Castro’s death was predictable. This narrative emphasis was his authoritarian orientation and the absurd label as the most “brutal dictator” in the region.
In reality, the worst dictators in Latin America have been supported by the U.S. government. Castro’s Cuba has always been held to a different standard compared to our failed client states in the region, which are facing squalor and social disintegration under the cynical code words “freedom” and “democracy.”
Cuba’s medical and education systems are models for the Third World. As a person, Castro was more intelligence than most of our so-called representatives in the U.S. Congress and never enriched himself from his position.
Against all odds, the daring Commandante Fidel defied the arrogant superpower, which why he is revered by so many around the world.
