Former political rivals hobnob

State Rep. Paul Amador, R-Coeur d'Alene, and Democrat Tom Hearn, who unsuccessfully challenged Amador in the general election, hobnob at the Iron Horse today. (Photo courtesy of Tom's Facebook page)
In the present toxic political climate, this photo gives me hope. Here, state Rep. Paul Amador, R-Coeur d’Alene, and Democrat Tom Hearn are pictured at lunch at the Fort Ground Grill today. Amador bested Hearn in the general election after upsetting long-time legislator Kathy Sims in the GOPrimary. Hearn is also a Coeur d’Alene School Board trustee. Facebooks Tom:
“Nice to have lunch today with Representative Paul Amador. We had a good talk about education issues and also some laughs about our experiences in the recent election. He is a good man and in my opinion is a great improvement over Kathy Sims. I look forward to working with him on education issues of concern to the school board and District 271 patrons. Thanks Paul for your willingness to serve the citizens of Coeur d’Alene.”
