Wowed by Spokane winter

This is my first winter in Spokane, and some have warned me about the frigid temperatures and roads. No one, however, prepared me for the dazzling displays of fog sifting through snow-laden spruce and pine trees, or the surging river powering through shimmering hillsides.

The snow might cause an inconvenience sometimes, but I think the tranquility and beauty of it all is something to be grateful for.
