Are you ready for Christmas?

After greeting me in the waiting room this morning, my doc’s nurse asked a pleasant question that you hear all the time: Are you ready for Christmas? I wasn’t sure how to answer. Does it mean: Are all the gifts purchased? Does it mean: Am I mentally ready for another Christmas Day, with all its memories. Does it mean: Am I spiritually ready to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ? I’m somewhat frazzled for Christmas this yuletide. So many balls up in the air, in my professional and personal life. Am I ready? Does it matter?
