Press letter: Christmas for atheists

I commend staff writer Devin Heilman for her gentle way of presenting the sources’ comments and civility at this most sacred time of the year for many. However, I have a problem with atheism. It just doesn’t make sense although I agree with some of the article’s points about religion in general. But really, why besmirch the object of so much love around the world at this special time? What’s the point? I can think of some religious beliefs in this world right now more worthy of scorn.

What I thought was funny is that the sources don’t seem to have a problem with Santa Claus and Rudolph, it’s just that pesky Jesus that they’re having the problem with. Full letter here.
