Presidents Day Wild Card
As a kid, I enjoyed the two, three-day weekends away from school in February — Feb. 12, for Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, and Feb. 22, for George Washington’s birthday. They were a welcome relief as winter wound down and spring near. Now, the two birthdays of our most significant presidents are lumped into one hybrid holiday, with all the other presidents, including the many clunkers. Public employees, investment firms and a few others get those holiday off. Most of us don’t including your Huckleberry Hound. So I’ll be with you today to feed you appetite for news, commentary & mischief. Here’s your Wild Card …
