Fly-tying intro for women-only at Silver Bow
FLY FISHING — A women’s-only intro to fly tying will be led by guest instructor Heather Hodson from Spokane Women on the Fly on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 22-23, at Silver Bow Fly Shop , 13210 E. Indiana Ave. in Spokane Valley.
“This introduction class is our Fly Tying Level I Course geared to women only,” said shop owner Sean Visintainer.
“In this two-night course you will learn the fundamentals to getting started in fly tying as well as four great trout patterns for anywhere in the West. Students will be provided tools and materials for use during the two nights.
Spokane Women on the fly is a local group dedicated to introducing women to the sport of fly fishing and providing a community for women to meet other women anglers.
Sessions run 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. both nights. Cost: $50. Limited to six participants. Pre-register. Info: (509) 924-9998.

- Learn about the basic tools and basic skills needed to properly tie in materials, tie off materials, and more.
