Best of the worst

Saturday, Feb. 13, a day that will live in infamy. What did we just watch? They called it a “debate,” but I remember those in high school and this didn’t come close. It was more like reality TV shows, “The Voice” or “America’s Got Talent,” including even the crowd noises; the cheers and the boos.

Did anyone even answer a question? They just slipped sideways into what they wanted to talk about, like somebody’s family or flip-flopping or liar-liar. Where’s Judge Judy when you really need her? The debate was nothing but smoke and noise, theater and not even as good as “The Book of Mormon.”

This would be funny if it weren’t so sad. It’s too bad the Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders show features just the two of them. I’m sure adding a couple more actors would improve their ratings, too.

We’re swirling the drain, again, people. Get ready to vote for the best of the worst in November. Here we are in the new tradition of cream-of-the crud politics. Oh. That smile on my face? Prozac.
