Poll: No trust for exemption tinkering

• Monday Poll: In one of the most lopsided votes ever, Hucks Nation said it didn’t trust the Republican Idaho Legislature to tinker with the 50-50 Idaho homeowners exemption. The Legislature is well on its way to deleting the indexing mechanism that protects homeowners from rapidly increasing home values. Many fear that shift millions of dollars in property tax payments from commercial to property owners. 208 of 214 respondents (97.2%) don’t trust legislators to do the right thing. Only 4 (1.87%) do trust legislators. 2 (0.93%) were undecided.
