State of the Blog: Retirement
One of the issues I addressed at Blogfest 2016 was my retirement plans. In a nut shell, I don’t have any, certainly not for this year — and probably not for next. At 66, I enjoy what I do here (although I wished there were more hours in the day for my church and personal obligations). Mrs. O used to mention her desire that I retire so we can enjoy more of our sunset years together. But one day I responded: “Think about this. Would you really want me around the house another 40 to 45 hours a week?” At that point, she revised her approach to lobby for a part-time gig here. At this point, I’ve taken that approach under advisement.
