Bonners Ferry man sentenced for shooting dogs mistaken for wolves

A Bonners Ferry man who shot two dogs on a Forest Service Road last year after his dad allegedly told him to “shoot the wolf” was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $1,275 in fines and restitution. Collin Cossairt was sentenced Thursday in Idaho’s District Court for the May, 2015 shooting, which occurred after the state’s hunting season for wolves had closed.
