A 1922 hand-carved carousel spent more than 30 years in Coeur d’Alene, from 1942 to 1975. I have lots of happy memories of riding the carousel at Riverfront Park as a kid. Playland Pier closed before I was born, but I can bet my Granny Franny rode this same carousel at back in the day — probably with a handsome sailor from Farragut. Do any of you HBOers have memories of Playland Pier?
