English to be sworn in tonight

Winning Coeur d’Alene City Council candidate Dan English is scheduled to be sworn in at tonight’s council meeting. Incumbents Dan Gookin and Ron Edinger also will be sworn, but for new terms. The City Council meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Coeur d’Alene Public Library community room. “I’m ready to dive in,” English said Monday. “I’m anxious for that.” English met with city staff members and completed a city council training with the Association of Idaho Cities since the election two months ago when he beat incumbent Steve Adams and third candidate Bruce MacNeil/ David Cole , Coeur d’Alene Press.
