Letter: Everyone should register R

In a letter to the Coeur d’Alene Press editor, Mike Reno of Post Falls writes:

In Idaho, everyone should register Republican. Unless you are in blue dot Moscow, only Republicans win in Idaho, so elections are actually decided in the primary just like former confederate states that only voted democratic until LBJ’s civil rights act that yielded Donald Trump’s predecessor, George Wallace. This might mitigate the ridiculous migration of our party that defeated the confederacy and its confederate flag to the party that now defends it and its xenophobia parroted by Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

Question: I think letter writer Reno’s advice is sound. Everyone should register Republican in Kootenai County to beat back the uber-con RINOs who have overthrown the local Republican Party. Thoughts?
