I was disappointed that Commissioner Dan Green is stepping down after two terms with Kootenai County ( Green’s announcement here ). Green, with his solid business sense, was a guiding light on a board that could have swung far to the right. But didn’t. His stability, center-right, common sense approach to local government will be missed in that important position. I fear that the GOTP now has a clear shot to grab control of the county commission (although Marc Eberlein has been a pleasant surprise). We’ll see in May. Here’s your daily Wild Card …
