CEC panel sets meeting for early Tuesday morning

The joint legislative committee on Change in Employee Compensation has set its final meeting of the session for Tuesday at 7 a.m. in room EW 42 of the Capitol, where the agenda calls for committee discussion and consideration of motions .The panel will determine whether or not to follow Gov. Butch Otter’s recommendation for merit-based raises averaging 3 percent for state employees in next year’s state budget.

The committee had originally planned to hold its final meeting today, but legislative staffer Robyn Lockett said, “They wanted a little more time.”
