By way of introduction
On her Facebook wall, Kerri Thoreson comments:
At age 63 people still struggle when trying to introduce me to someone as introductions generally include a person’s profession, singular. I’m introduced as a columnist, city councilor, lady who wishes people happy birthday. I’ve been introduced as the lady on the billboards or in those commercials, a busy person, a cheerleader, a community volunteer etc etc etc. While all are applicable it sometimes feels as if I’m diminished by not having one specific title or occupation. I think I need new business cards that read: Kerri Thoreson / Multipotentialite.
Question: What thing(s) would you want included when someone is introducing you?
