Doc shortage is real

I had the same problem as Stevan Alburty (Jan. 13 letter) did while trying to find a primary physician via the Premera website. It said several, if not dozens, of physicians were taking new patients. In reality, they were not taking any.

I am still waiting to see mine. I hope I don’t get referred to a specialist, as this could cause yet another delay. It is possible that a patient could wait up to three months before their problem could even be addressed.
