CPD police dog Maxx retires
After eight years of outstanding service, K9 Maxx is retiring from patrol with Officer Andy Sterling. Maxx is now a 10-year-old German shepherd and has worked as a single purpose narcotics K9 for his entire career. Maxx’s retirement is due to his age and recommendations from his Veterinarian. Officer Sterling is currently training his new partner, K9 Halo. Halo is a 2-year-old German shepherd born in Slovakia. He is a dual purpose patrol K9, used for narcotics detection, tracking, and apprehension and protection.
