Immigration outrage missing

I agree with Jeff Kilgore (“Jailing immigrants expensive,” Jan 14). His letter was awesome. Sadly, I truly believe the rest of the world views Americans as chumps. No wonder everyone wants to live here.

Why not? Our government has warped priorities, preferring to allocate taxpayer dollars to immigrants rather than American citizens in need. Why aren’t more of us outraged?
