Oil price story misleading

Another perfect example of mainstream media misinformation appeared in your Jan. 22 front page story “Falling oil price may feed economy.” Try convincing the 10,000 employees of oil services giant Schlumberger who were pink-slipped Jan. 21. Or Canadian citizens watching their currency plummet. Or the Russian people watching their currency swoon similarly.

Do you remember when a strong Canadian “loonie,” on par with the U.S. dollar, propelled Canadian consumers to spend their strong currency in the Inland Northwest? That loonie is worth 71 cents now.

I believe the American people have awakened to mainstream media’s reluctance to inform honestly. The stunning surprise unfolding in Iowa will be our best indicator of that new awakening.
