Clinton to unite us

So now Donald Trump offers his latest outrageous idea: that Hillary Clinton is “not a Christian.”

First he invents a claim that President Obama “is a Muslim.” Since Hillary supports the president’s agenda, she must be a Muslim, too. That’s his deduction, logic and critical analysis.

Hillary is not perfect. No one is, not in life, and not in politics. But throughout her life, Hillary has fought for those who couldn’t and encouraged those who could. As First Lady, she organized a highly capable and productive staff. As senator, she famously worked well with many Republicans to get things done. As secretary of state, she strengthened our relationships with our allies and world leaders alike.

Highly educated and experienced, she is ready from day one to take the helm of our already “great country.” If Donald Trump cares so much about America’s greatness, I suggest he contemplate the profound wisdom of Abraham Lincoln, a truly great Republican who warned the nation: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

At this crossroad before us, unlike Trump, Hillary Clinton does not instill fear, bigotry, hatred or degrade our American culture. With her determination and enthusiasm, Hillary Clinton will unite us.
