DUI policy much needed

I want to thank County Prosecutor Larry Haskell’s decision to implement a tougher policy directed at DUI offenders. It appears to be much needed as I read with increasing frequency and alarm news accounts of devastating incidents involving DUI drivers and their impact on innocent citizens who became victims simply by unfortunately being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

While defense attorney Chris Bugbee’s clients may be “very good citizens who make a simple mistake,” their impact on the lives of other drivers and pedestrians is no less a significant and serious potential life-altering event.
