Sudden death mars evening walk

On her Facebook wall, SR colleague Alison Boggs comments:

“I witnessed something very upsetting tonight. Walking home from the Perry District, I saw a young red heeler mix off-leash, run into traffic right outside The Shop. It got hit by a car and was killed almost instantly. I had my own two dogs with me so I took them home, then went back. Most people had left by then but a woman who was there said she was a friend of the person whose dog was killed. She really wanted the people driving the car to know it wasn’t their fault. If you happen to know them, please pass that on.”
